Section 5 in The Delhi Pharmaceutical Sciences and Research University Act, 2008
5. Objects of the University.
- The objects of the University shall be to-(a)establish and incorporate a non-affiliating teaching University for conducting research and for imparting education in pharmaceutical sciences and allied areas at Delhi;(b)facilities and promote studies leading to award of degrees, diplomas and certificates;(c)undertake research and consultancy work in pharmaceutical sciences and allied areas of application;(d)achieve excellence in pharmaceutical sciences and technology and matters connected therewith or incidental thereto;(e)be a change-agent that shall contribute to enable pharmaceuticals and related areas of industry to develop state of the art products and services;(f)be industry relevant at all times and to create an impact on the fellow academic community in India and abroad;(g)be an open institution to attract best minds of the world and to be completely globally integrated.
