Section 40(4)(a) in Jawaharlal Institute of Post-Graduate Medical Education and Research Puducherry, Regulations, 2008

(a)any institute employee may, by giving notice of not less than three months in writing to the appointing authority, retire from service after he has attained the age of fifty years, if he is in Group A or Group B service or post and had entered the service of the Institute before attaining the age of thirty-five year, and in all other cases after he has attained the age of fifty-five years;
