361. Register of Patwaris.
(a)Under paragraph 198, the Inspector is required to maintain a register of Patwaris. Instructions as to how entries are to be made in this register are given in that paragraph.(b)This register is important and the inspecting officer should examine a sufficient number of entries in it with a view to satisfy himself whether particulars of Patwaris given in Part I and the statistics given in Part II are correct; whether bad work on the part of the Patwaris is promptly reported and whether remarks of officers about the Patwaris inspected are regularly obtained and whether there are any Patwaris exempted from residence, whose work is so bad as to justify the withdrawal of the exemption.
