Section 33(b) in Police Regulations, Calcutta, 1968
(b)If the confidential reports are those of an Inspector or of an officer whose name is on the list of those approved for promotion to Inspector's rank the Deputy Commissioner shall reconstruct the book by reference to Deputy Commissioner, Headquarters, or the Deputy Commissioners under whom the officer served during the past 10 years.
