Section 1 in The Places Of Worship (Special Provisions) Act, 1991
1. Short title, extent and commencement
(1)This Act may be called The Places of Worship (Special Provisions) Act , 1991.(2)It extends to the whole of India except the State of Jammu and Kashmir.(3)The provisions of sections 3, 6 and 8 shall come into force at once and the remaining provisions of this Act shall be deemed to have came into force on the 11th day of July, 1991.
