Section 5(1) in Assam Judicial Service Rules, 2003
(1)The Chief Justice shall fill up the post of Registrar, Deputy Registrar and Assistant Registrar by virtue of Article 229 (1) of the Constitution ordinarily from Grade-1, Grade-II, and Grade-Ill of the service respectively.
