Section 18(2) in The Statutes of the Punjabi University
(2)Notwithstanding anything contained in the terms of his appointment, any officer of the University, salaried or otherwise, may be removed from that office by the Authority which is competent to fill the vacancy on either of the following grounds namely :-(a)the officer has become incapable of performing his duties; and(b)the officer has been convicted by a court of Law of an offence which, in the opinion of the Senate, the Syndicate, or the Academic Council, as the case may be, involves moral turpitude.This clause shall also apply to an officer appointed on contract.
