10. Term of office of Members.
(1)Subject to the provisions of section 9, the term of office of the Members nominated or elected under section 4 or section 5, as the case may be, shall be for four years commencing from the date of the first meeting of the Council after its first constitution or any subsequent periodical reconstitution, as the case may be.(2)The term of four years referred to in sub-section (I) shall be held to include any period, but not exceeding one year in any case, that may elapse between the expiry of the said period of four years and the date of the first meeting of the Council following its reconstitution at which a quorum is present.
