Section 47(2)(b) in Tamil Nadu Co-operative Societies Rules, 1988

(b)The representative of individual members shall be elected from among themselves,-

(i)by the members of the branch or unit of the society, if any; or

(ii)by the members residing in such area or belonging to such group of members, as may be specified in the bye-laws.
