19. Academic Council.
(1)The Academic Council of the University shall consist of the following members, namely:-(i)the Vice Chancellor, who shall be the Chairman of the Academic Council;(ii)the Pro Vice Chancellor;(iii)two academicians or professionals, to be nominated by the State Government;(iv)two academicians or professionals connected with the service or training of police, military or paramilitary forces, to be nominated by the State Government;(v)the Director of Research and Development;(vi)the Directors;(vii)one Professor from each discipline of the University, by rotation, to be nominated by the Vice Chancellor.(2)The Registrar shall be the Secretary of the Academic Council.(3)The term of office of the members nominated under clauses (iii), (iv) and (vii) of subsection (1) shall be three years.
