Section 28(ii) in The Punjab Capital (Development and Regulation) Building Rules, 1952
(ii)A kitchen shall have a minimum height of 2.75 metres except for the portion to accommodate floor trap of the upper floor. It shall have a fire place with a smoke flue or an exhaust fan.
