(2)Assistant Research Officers :(i)Twenty-five percent posts by transfer of the substantively appointed Assistant Engineers of Uttar Pradesh Service of Engineers (Irrigation Department of Civil or Mechanical Branch) who shall be governed by the Service Rules applicable to their own services;(ii)Fifty percent by promotion through the Commission from amongst substantively appointed Research Supervisors who have completed seven years', Service as such on the first day of the year of recruitment;(iii)Twenty-five percent by direct recruitment.
