(b)ex officio members
(i)Secretary, University Grants Commission, or his nominee, not below the rank of a Joint Secretary, University Grants Commission;
(ii)Secretary, Higher Education Department of the Government;
(iii)Secretary, Finance Department of the Government;
(iv)Director of Public Instruction of the Government;
(v)Director of Technical Education of the Government;
(vi)Secretary, Department of Science and Technology of the Government;
(vii)Vice-Chancellors of all Government-aided Universities offering education in humanities, basic sciences, engineering and technical subjects through conventional as well as distance modes; and
(viii)Chairman, West Bengal College Service Commission;
