2. Power to exempt areas from the provisions of this Act.
- Notwithstanding anything contained in section 1, the [State] [Substituted for the word 'Provincial' by the Adaptation of Laws Order, 1950.] Government may by notification exempt any area from any or all of the provisions of this Act, or direct that any provision of this Act shall apply to any area with such modifications as may be specified.
