Section 8 in The Schedule of Rate for Forest Produce in Orissa Rules, 1977
8. Issue of Permit.
- A permit shall be issued in the form appended to these rules to the inhabitants of towns and villages in the vicinity of protected forests for removal of timber, bamboos, firewood and charcoal for their own use, and of other forest produce for trade purposes on payment as mentioned in Schedule II :Provided that no permit is necessary for removal of forest produce other than timber, bamboos, firewood, charcoal for their own use.
