Section 12(2) in Indian Institute of Teacher Education, Gujarat Act, 2010
(2)(a)There shall be a Search Committee constituted by the State Government consisting of three members, to be nominated by the State Government to recommend suitable names, for appointment of Vice-Chancellor. The member of the Search Committee shall be from any one or more of the following categories, namely:(i)an eminent educationist;(ii)a retired Judge of the High Court of Gujarat;(iii)a retired Chief Secretary/Additional Chief Secretary of the Government of Gujarat;The State Government shall nominate one of them as the Chairman of the Committee.(b)The members nominated for the committee shall be the persons who are not connected with the University or any institution of the University.
