Section 23(1) in Andhra Pradesh Control of Organised Crime Act, 2001
(1)Notwithstanding anything contained in the Code, -(a)No information about the commission of an offence of organized crime under this Act, shall be recorded by a police officer without the prior approval of a police officer not below the rank of Deputy Inspector General of Police;(b)no investigation of an offence under the provisions of this Act shall be carried out by a police officer not below the rank of Deputy Superintendent of Police.
