(a)In the case of foreign service out of India, the Account Officer is the Accountant General, Central Revenues.(b)In the case of foreign service in India-(1)if pay in foreign service is paid from a Government treasury and is subject to audit by an audit officer of Government, the Account Officer is such audit officer.(2)otherwise, the Account Officer is the audit officer of the State in which the municipality or other body concerned is situated.
