Section 75(1) in The Indian Port Health Rules, 1955
(1)Disinfection, disinsecting, deratting and other sanitary operations shall be so carried out as(a)not to cause undue discomfort to any person, or injury to his health;(b)not to produce any deleterious effect on the structure of a ship, or on its operating equipment; and(c)to avoid all risk of fire.
