171. [Mandal Praja Parishad] [Substituted 'Mandal Parishad' by Act No. 41 of 2006, dated 23.9.2006.] Fund.
(1)All moneys received by a [Mandal Praja Parishad] [Substituted 'Mandal Parishad' by Act No. 41 of 2006, dated 23.9.2006.] shall constitute a fund called the [Mandal Praja Parishad] [Substituted 'Mandal Parishad' by Act No. 41 of 2006, dated 23.9.2006.] Fund and shall be applied for the purposes specified in this Act and for such other purposes and in such manner as may be prescribed.(2)All moneys received by the [Mandal Praja Parishad] [Substituted 'Mandal Parishad' by Act No. 41 of 2006, dated 23.9.2006.] shall be lodged in the nearest Government treasury:[Provided that the amounts received as funds under the Jawahar Rozgar Yojana, Employment Assurance Scheme or other Wage Employment Schemes shall be lodged in nearby Nationalised Banks or Co-operative Banks or Post Offices in such manner as may be prescribed.] [Added by Section 3 of Act No. 16 of 1998.](3)All orders or cheques against the [Mandal Praja Parishad] [Substituted 'Mandal Parishad' by Act No. 41 of 2006, dated 23.9.2006.] Fund shall be signed by the [Mandal Praja Parishad] [Substituted 'Mandal Parishad' by Act No. 41 of 2006, dated 23.9.2006.] Development Officer.
