An Act further to amend the Madhya Pradesh Co-operative Societies Act, 1960.Be it enacted by the Madhya Pradesh Legislature in the seventy-third year of the Republic of India as follows:-

1. Short title and commnencement.

(1)This Act may be called the Madhya Pradesh Co-operative Societies (Amendment) Act, 2022.
(2)It shall come into force from the date of its publication in the Madhya Pradesh Gazette .

2. Amendment of Section 49.

In Section 49 of the Madhya Pradesh Co-operative Societies Act, 1960 (No. 17 of 1961) (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act) , in sub-section (7-A), in clause (b), in the second proviso, after the words "Central Society", the words "or Primary Agriculture Credit Co-operative Society" shall be inserted.

3. Amendment of Section 53.

In Section 53 of the principal Act ,
(i)in sub-section (1), in the second proviso, after the words "Central Society", the words "or Primary Agriculture Credit Co-operative Society" shall be inserted .
(ii)in sub-section (12), in the second proviso, after the words "Central Society", the words "or Primary Agriculture Credit Co-operative Society" shall be inserted.
