Section 3L in Tamil Nadu District Municipalities Act, 1920
3L. Electoral roll.
(1)The electoral roll of a [Third Grade Municipality] [Substituted for the word 'Town Panchayat' by the Tamil Nadu District Municipalities (Amendment) Act, 2004 (Tamil Nadu Act 24 of 2004)] shall be the same as the electoral roll of the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly prepared and revised in accordance with the provisions of law for the time being in force in a [transitional area] [Substituted for the word 'Town Panchayat' by the Tamil Nadu District Municipalities (Amendment) Act, 2004 (Tamil Nadu Act 24 of 2004)] and shall be deemed to be the electoral roll for such [Third Grade Municipality] [Substituted for the word 'Town Panchayat' by the Tamil Nadu District Municipalities (Amendment) Act, 2004 (Tamil Nadu Act 24 of 2004)] for the purposes of this Act.(2)No amendment, transposition or deletion of any entry in the electoral roll of the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly made after the last date for making nominations for elections in any [Third Grade Municipality] [Substituted for the word 'Town Panchayat' by the Tamil Nadu District Municipalities (Amendment) Act, 2004 (Tamil Nadu Act 24 of 2004)] and before the notification of the result of such election, shall form part of the electoral roll for such election, for the purposes of this section.
