Section 23D(3) in Haryana Municipal Building Bye-laws 1982
(3)Stair-ways. - One of the stair-ways near the entrance/exit for the handicapped shall have the following provisions :-(i)the minimum width shall be 1350 millimeter;(ii)height of the riser shall not be more than 150 millimeter and width of the tread 300 millimeter. The steps shall not have abrupt (square) nosing;(iii)maximum number of risers on a flight shall be limited to 12;(iv)handrails shall be provided on both sides and shall extend 300 millimeter.
