Section 2(j) in Maharaja Ranjit Singh State Technical University Act, 2014
(j)"Principal" means the Head of a college (by whatever name he may be called ) and includes, when there is no Principal, the person for the time being duly appointed to act as Principal, and in the absence of Principal or the acting Principal, a Vice-Principal duly appointed, as such;
