Section 1 in Maharashtra Lokayukta and Upa-Lokayuktas Act, 1971
1. Short title, extent and commencement.
(1)This Act may be called the Maharashtra Lokayukta and Upa-Lokayuktas Act, 1971.(2)It extends to the whole of the State of Maharashtra.(3)It shall come into force on such date as the State Government may, by [notification] [2nd day of October, 1972 (vide G .N., G.A.D. No. LPL.,1072-D, dated the 2nd October, 1972.] in the Official Gazette, appoint.
