411. Obligation of medical practitioner or owner or occupier to report infectious diseases.
(1)If any medical practitioner becomes cognizant of the existence of any infectious disease in any private or public dwelling in the City, he shall inform the Commissioner, the health officer, the medical registrar of the district or the sanitary inspector of the division with the least practical delay.(2)The information shall be communicated in such form and with such details as the Commissioner may require.(3)The Commissioner may direct the compulsory notification by the owner or occupier of every house within the City limits, during such period and to such officer as the Commissioner may, prescribe, of all deaths from or occurrences in infectious disease in his office.Explanation. - Sub-sections (1) and (2) shall apply to a hakim or a vaidyan.
