(2)Every additional Police Officer so appointed --(a)shall receive a certificate in such form as the State Government may determine, under the signature of the Commissioner ; and(b)shall have such of the powers and duties of an ordinary Police Officer of like rank as are specially mentioned in the certificate referred to in clause (a)and shall, in the exercise or performance thereof, have the same protection and privileges, be amenable to the same penalties, and be subordinate to the same authorities as such officer.
