FACTS
Vide RTI dt 7.9.12, appellant had sought information on 2 points relating
Section A & B and Part_I and II awards from
IME (India), Mumbai will continue to be eligi-
ble for employment in Central Government ... decided the
following:-
(i) The recognition of the courses run by
IME, Mumbai may be restored with effect from
16.10.2006. With this recognition IME will
information on 9 points relating to
the Institute of Mechanical Engineers (IME) Mumbai and its recognition by AICTE.
2. PIO AICTE New Delhi, vide letter ... AICTE New Delhi further informed the appellant that IME Mumbai is
neither under the purview of AICTE nor any of their courses are approved
obtained from the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (India), Mumbai (for
short IME (Mumbai) is not a valid degree as held by a Division Bench ... come
within that protected class of pass outs from IME (Mumbai) who had
registered prior to 10.06.2002 with the institute. It was under these

of Diploma acquired from the Institute of Mechanical
