Scheduled ... Caste (Kuravan) Community. The Tahsildar,
Cherthala has issued caste certificate to the petitioner
showing the petitioner as Hindu Kuravan. When the petitioner
applied for admission
petitioner does not belong
to a Scheduled Caste by name 'Kuravan' as claimed by the petitioner.
Ext.P3 is the proceedings ... spring of an inter-caste marriage, her father being a member of
Kuravan community, which is a Scheduled Caste and her mother being
a member
Sambavar. It is also seen that the same is the case with Kuravan which is included as item No. 34. Kurava and Kuravar, the derivations ... word Kuravan, denote the same community as Kuravan."
In spite of Exts. P 1 and P 3, the Posts and Telegraphs Department has taken
rejected and he was declared to be a member of the Kuravan
Community (Scheduled Caste).
3. The report was submitted before the Government
for further ... candidate. It was held that the real
caste of the applicant is Kuravan (Scheduled Caste) and that
the appointment of the applicant is ab initio
