Sections 279 and 304-A IPC, considering the fact that 11 years
have elapsed since the incident occurred and the appellant had
been on bail throughout, the sentence of three months
imprisonment was set aside and ordered for payment of
Rs.1,00,000/- as compensation to the victim under Section
357(3) of Cr.P.C.
