The issue raised in this writ petition is regarding the liability of the parent of a loanee of an educational loan to be proceeded against for recovery of the dues. It is seen that in the judgment in WA No.974/12, a Division Bench of this Court has already upheld such action reversing the judgment in Vasantha Kumari v. State Bank of Travancore (2012(1) KLT 755) relied on by the petitioner.
