In Chhotey Lal Singh v. State Transport Appellate Tribunal, U. P., Lucknow AIR 1975 All 393, the Allahabad High Court took the view that under Section 64 of the Act read with Rule 72, U. P. Motor Vehicles Rules, the period of limitation for appeal against the order rejecting the application for permit commences only when a copy of the order is served by the R. T. A. as contemplated by Section 57(7) of the Act.
