The Central India Spinning Andweaving ... vs The Municipal Committee, Wardha on 18 December, 1957

In the case of bye-election to the post of President the term of the office of the President elected in bye-election may be shortened and in that case it can never be co-terminus, if we interpret the word "co-terminus" in the sense of commencement and termination, with the term of the Council because in that eventuality the term of the Council shall commence with the first meeting of the Council while the term of the President who has been elected after recall in bye-election, shall commence afresh and not from the date of the first meeting.
