The Constitutional Bench of
the Hon'ble Supreme Court in the case of S.P.Mittal v. Union of India
reported in AIR 1983 SC 1 has followed the judgment of the Hon'ble Supreme
Court reported in AIR 1954 SC 282. It is only the Constitutional Bench which
has laid tests to recognise a temple or an institution as a religious
denomination.
