made upto six months by the grant of extraordinary
leave. If an alternative employment cannot ... leave
but may instead prefer to quit service on pension,
immediately on the expiry of his period of leave
with allowances. In such case extraordinary
such leave or on the date of expiry of the leave otherwise due and admissible under these regulations.
(b) In case such leave is required ... from duty without leave into extraordinary leave.
(4) No leave salary shall be admissible during the period of extraordinary leave.
(3) Where an employee fails

26. Relevant part of 2018 Ordinance is as under:-
"10. EXTRAORDINARY LEAVE
(i) A permanent ... Extraordinary leave may be combined with any other leave
except the casual leave and special casual leave, provided that
the total period of continuous absence
petitioner had applied for
maternity leave of 180 days from 11.11.2013. The maternity leave was
granted to her with leave coming ... legal entitlement to leave is always as regards
leave which is legally authorized i.e maternity leave or child care leave
grant of extraordinary leave : Such leave is not debited against
the leave account. No leavesalary is admissible during such leave.
(b) The authority which ... suspension by adjusting 90 days leave as `leave without pay',
96 days leave as `half pay leave', whereas 1591 days
