stated supra. The Apex Court has clearly
mainly the following decisions before us:
( 1) State of Punjab v Gian Kaur and Another .
( 2) State of Punjab v Savitri Devi .
( 3) State
later judgment of the Supreme Court in the case of Gian Kaur (Smt.) v. State of Punjab etc. .
8. In the result, the appeal succeeds
upheld by
the Supreme Court of India in Smt. Gian Kaur V. State of

Punjab1, the Government of India amended the Mental
Health ... here in below:
"366. This Court's holding in Gian Kaur vs.
State of Punjab (1996) 2 SCC 648 that the
right
proviso to Section 34 of
the Specific Relief Act. (See also Gian
Kaur v. Raghubir Singh [Gian Kaur v. Raghubir Singh
given due weight in evidence.
19. In State of Punjab v. Gian Kaur [1998 SCC
(Cri) 942 : AIR 1998 SC 2809] an issue arose regarding
light of the report gave his opinion that the
death of Gian Kaur was by poisoning i.e. organo-
phosphorus compound. The report
proviso to Section
