hydrostatic lock which is not covered in the policy. The insured till date has
not submitted ... claim, the Engine of the Car was damaged due to hydrostatic lock. Said
defect was not covered under the policy and for such type
allowed.
He then contends that the surveyor report categorically speaks about Hydrostatic lock having impacted the engine which was solely on account of the default ... Petitioner Company has an add on cover for the risk of Hydrostatic Lock. He submits that this cover had not been taken by the Respondent
engine, he was
told that engine developed problem due to hydrostatic
lock. Due to non-delivery of vehicle to complainant with

suffering from manufacturing defect where it was a case of hydro locking resulting from

driving the subject vehicle in rain water logged areas ... provided by the opposite party no.1 which does not cover Hydrostatic Locking of the engine and has erroneously held that since the subject
insurance policy, damage to the
vehicle on account of hydrostatic lock would also be covered
for the purpose of reimbursement."
It is useful
parts like tyres, wheel balancing, alignment, vehicle washing, accidental damages and hydrostatic locks were excluded therefrom and that too if the vehicle has been taken ... replacing of tyres, wheel balancing, alignment, washing, accidental damages and hydrostatic locks. Under these circumstances, we are of the considered view that if we order
arising out of water ingression due
to flood/ inundation resulting in hydrostatic lock.
