right'.
2. The petitioner asserts that 'Mullasseri Matam ... which very clearly
indicates that the family does not enjoy any 'Karanma' right, as
far as 'Santhi' post is concerned
Diwan that, owing to incompetent,
negligence or other cause, any karanma service is
not being properly and regularly performed or that an
alienation of karanma ... effect that after
considering the contentions urged by the karanma holders and
perusing the relevant documents the Travancore Devaswom
Board arrived at a conclusion that
given in
possession for rendering services to the temple (known as karanma holder)
has no right to transfer or alienate the property without consent ... grant and
the relevant provisions in the Act, the grantee of karanma right in respect of
plaint schedule property had alienated the property without prior
petitioners with
effect from the dates they have joined duty as "Karanma Kaisthani
Lavanam" [കകാരകാണ്മ കകസകാനനി ലകാവണണ] and arrears ... retirement of one
Sri.Venugopala Sharma, in the post/position as "Karanma
Kaisthani Lavanam" ["കകാരകാണ്മ കകസകാനനി ലകാവണണ"] of Kaviyoor
Devaswom. Thereupon
temples
under the Travancore Devaswom Board where Santhies
are appointed as Karanma hereditary Santhi ... employees of Temples and Devaswom coming under the
Board including Karanma employees and Santhies. The
Santhikars have two classifications ie, karanma santhi
and Non-Karanma
reads as follows:
"28. Board's control over karanma services.-
(1) The Board shall have absolute control over
the holders of all Karanma ... reported that owing to
incompetency, negligence or other cause, any
Karanma service is not being regularly performed,
or that an alienation of Karanma service
suit on
the ground that Valliammal has relinquished her right of karanma
service in favour of her sister, when she has no right ... karanma service and not binding on the plaintiff.
