petitioners belonged to `Mahra'
caste. `Mahra' caste is not a scheduled caste in the
schedule list of State of Chhattisgarh. Selection was
made ... reservation as scheduled caste candidates on the basis
of their caste certificate as `Mahra' caste, admittedly
not a scheduled caste under the specific schedule
merit list shall be prepared
and thereafter categorywise merit list for the number of
vacancies advertised shall be prepared together with the waiting
list ... Suryavanshi being ranked at S.No.10 in the
merit list of Scheduled Caste (Woman) category, she should
have been offered appointment when 3 Scheduled
Scheduled Caste in another State also, merely
because the caste, to which he belongs is also shown to be
Scheduled Caste of migrant State ... caste/tribe.

16. We may add that considerations for
specifying a particular caste or tribe or class for
inclusion in the list of Scheduled
selecting authority prepared a list by
including the Petitioner in the general merit list and also in the Scheduled
Tribe list. This exercise was sometime ... list and
pleaded that she may be included in the Scheduled Caste list, obviously
because she could not find a reasonably high position
considered "Mahar" caste as Scheduled Caste and
has incorporated the same in the Scheduled Caste Order 1950 for
the State of Chhattisgarh ... pass an appropriate orders for issuance of
caste certificate of "Mahar" caste, a Scheduled Caste in favour of
the petitioner.
3. Learned counsel
matter pertains to the year 2022 in respect
of dispute regarding caste.
List this matter in week commencing 21st April, 2025.

Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes mentioned in English and its

10 Posts have been reserved in State Accounts Services. In
the Selection list, at Sl. No. 11, Shri Rajeev Singh
Lists issued on 26.06.2021, 06.07.2021 and
29.07.2021 for the posts of Assistant Professor in
Chemistry, Commerce, and Physics respectively. According
to them, the select lists ... belongs
to the Scheduled Caste category and stood at Serial No. 14 in the
consolidated waiting list and Serial No. 2 in the SC waiting
