Section 70 in The Bombay Dentists Rules, 1951

70.

(1)A registered dentist may himself make an application for the removal of his name from the register. The application shall be accompanied by a declaration made by the applicant that he is not aware of any proceedings or any reason for the institution of any proceedings which might result in the removal of his name from the register or in depriving him qualification or licence entitling him to be registered.
(2)Every such application shall, in the first instance, be referred by the Registrar to the authorities who granted the applicant his qualification or qualifications to ascertain whether there is any valid objection to such removal.
(3)The Registrar shall bring such application before the next meeting, of the Council or Executive Committee, who will consider the application and any objections thereto, and the President may put from the Chair the question :-Whether the Registrar shall remove the applicant's name from the dentist register.
(4)If the Council or the Executive Committee, as the case may be, grants the application, the Registrar shall remove the applicant's name from the register and send notice of such removal to the applicant by a registered letter addressed to his registered address.
