2. Returning Officers and Assistant Returning Officers.
(1)For every election of representative or representatives of Gaon Sabhas in a Block in the Antarim Zila Parishad of a district, there shall be a Returning Officer who shall be such officer of Government as the District Magistrate may nominate or designate.(2)The District Magistrate may appoint one or more persons to be Assistant Returning Officer to assist the Returning Officer or to perform all or any of the functions of the Returning Officer in his absence.
