Section 43 in The M.P. Vishwavidyalaya Adhiniyam, 1973

43. Admission to University courses.

(1)Students shall not be eligible for admission to a course of study for a degree unless they have passed the final examination held under the Madhya Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Adhiniyam, 1965 (No. 23 of 1965), or an examination recognised in accordance with the provisions of this section as equivalent thereto and passes, such further qualifications as may be prescribed by the Ordinances and have been enrolled as students of the University.
(2)The University may with the previous sanction of the [Commissioner, Higher Education] [Substituted by M.P. Act No. 19 of 1994.] recognise for the purposes of admission to a course of study for a degree as equivalent to its own degrees and any degree conferred by any other University, or as equivalent to the final examination held under the Madhya Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Adhiniyam, 1965 (No. 25 of 1965), any other examination.
(3)No student shall be admitted to a course of study leading up to a degree unless he is enrolled as a student in a College, Teaching Department or School of Study :Provided that a student shall be admitted to a course of study leading upto-
(i)a Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in Mathematics in the Faculty of Science;
(ii)a degree in the Faculty of Arts, Faculty of Social Science or the Faculty of Commerce;
(iii)a Bachelor's degree in the Faculty of Law, in the case of women student permitted by a notification under the third proviso to clause (10) of Section 6, whether such student is enrolled as a student of a college, teaching department, school of studies or not.

(4)Student who are not enrolled as members of a College, Teaching Department or School of Studies shall be non-collegiate students of the University.
