Section 2(17) in The Maharashtra Animal and Fishery Sciences University Act, 1998
(17)"Animal and Fishery Sciences" means,-(a)the sciences and technology of diagnosis, treatment (surgery and medicine) and control of diseases of domestic animals and includes, basic veterinary sciences and applied veterinary sciences; or(b)Animal husbandry, breeding, dairying, fisheries, marine biology, basic and applied sciences relating to livestock, dairy and fisheries, management technology including bio-technology and practices relating thereto.
