Section 35(2) in The Uttar Banga Krishi Viswavidyalaya Act, 2000
(2)A Teacher of the University, other than a Teacher in the rank of Professor or of Reader, shall be appointed by the Executive Council on the recommendation of a Selection Committee consisting of-(a)the Vice-Chancellor as Chairman;(b)the Dean of the concerned Faculty and the Director of Research or the Director of Extension Education, depending upon the primary assignment of the post to be recruited;(c)three external members not holding any office of profit under the University, having special knowledge of the subject which the Teacher will teach or work, of whom one shall be a nominee of the Chancellor and two shall be the nominees of the Executive Council.
