Section 3 in The Orissa Statistics and Economics Service Rules, 1979
3. Composition of the Cadre.
(1)The Orissa Statistics and Economics Service shall comprise-(a)the Orissa Statistics and Economics Service, Class I;(b)the Orissa Statistics and Economics Service, Class II;(2)[ The Orissa Statistics and Economics Service Class-I shall include the posts of Joint Director Level-I, Joint Director Level-II, Principal. Statistical Training Institute and Deputy Director in the Directorate of Economics and Statistics and such other post or posts as Government may from time to time specify in this behalf.(3)The Orissa Statistics and Economics Service Class-II shall include the posts of Assistant Director, District Statistical Officer and Additional District Statistical Officer under the Directorate of Economics and Statistics, post or posts in respective ranks in other departments, posts of Assistant Director and Research Officer of the Planning and Co-ordination Department of Government of Orissa which existed prior to the 29th January, 1979, the date on which the Planning and Coordination Department was reorganised and formed part of the then Evaluation Call of the said Department and such other post or posts as Government may from time to time specify in this behalf.] [Substituted vide Orissa Gazette Extraordinary No. 1614/1989.](4)The cadre of the service shall consist of such numbers of permanent and temporary posts as Government may by order determine.Explanation. - It shall be competent for the Government to determine from time to time in respect of each branch of the service, the number of permanent and temporary posts to be included in that branch.
