Section 1 in The Merchant shipping (Radio Direction Finders) Rules, 1968.
1. Short title, application and commencement.
(1)These rules may be called the Merchant Shipping (Radio Direction Finders) Rules, 1968.(2)They shall apply to-(a)Indian ships of sixteen hundred tons gross or more; and(b)ships other than Indian ships, of sixteen hundred tons gross or more while they are at any port or place in India or within the territorial waters of India.(3)They shall come into force at once.
