Section 1(2) in The Merchant shipping (Radio Direction Finders) Rules, 1968.
(2)They shall apply to-(a)Indian ships of sixteen hundred tons gross or more; and(b)ships other than Indian ships, of sixteen hundred tons gross or more while they are at any port or place in India or within the territorial waters of India.
