Section 3(1) in Dental Council of India (Establishment of New Dental Colleges, Opening of New or Higher Course of Study or Training and Increase of Admission Capacity in Dental Colleges) Regulations, 2006
(1)In these regulations, unless the context otherwise requires, -(a)"Act" means the Dentists Act, 1948 (16 of 1948);(b)"Central Government" means Department of Health and Family Welfare in the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare;(c)"Council" means the Dental Council of India established under the Act;(d)"dental college" means any institution, college or a body by whatever name called, in which a person may undergo a course of study or training which will qualify him for the award of any recognised dental qualification.
