Section 27(1) in Bihar State Universities (Patna, University of Bihar, Bhagalpur and Ranchi) Act, 1960
(1)There shall be a Council of Post-graduate Studies and Research consisting of-(i)The Vice-Chancellor who shall be the Chairman,(ii)The Deans of Faculties,(iii)The Principals of colleges in which teaching in post-graduate standard is arranged and provided for by the University, not exceeding three in number, nominated by the Vice-Chancellor, by rotation, in the manner prescribed by the Statutes, and(iv)Not less than one-half of the Heads of University departments, nominated by the Vice-Chancellor, by rotation, in the manner prescribed by the Statutes, the term of office of such members being three years from the date of their nominations.
