Section 6 in The Bihar Forest Service Rules, 1953

6.

For the purpose of admission to the Competitive Examination for this Service, a candidate must-
(a)[ not be less than 21 years or more than 30 years on the 1st April at the year of examination. The maximum age limit for candidates of Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes will be 35 years. The maximum age limit for the candidates trained as Range Officers of forests can be relaxed by 5 years;] [Substituted by S.O. 1313 dated 26.12.1989.]
(b)of good moral character;
(c)be of sound health, good physique and active habits and free, from organic defects of bodily infirmity likely to interfere with the efficient performance of the duties of a member of the Bihar Forest Service;
(d)hold-
(i)[ Bachelor's degree in Natural Science, Forestry, Mathematics, Statistics, Geology, Mechanical, Electronics, Civil and Chemical Engineering, Agriculture or Economics of a recognised Indian University;] [Substituted by S.O. 1313 dated 26.12.1989.]
(ii)a Master degree in Natural Science or Agriculture, Mathematics (after B.Sc. Course) "or Geology or Mechanical Engineering" not lower than second class of a recognised Indian University;
(iii)an equivalent foreign degree.
